Research Interests:
My research interests can be broken down into two main areas. The first area is fitness testing and exercise prescription. I am interested in how exercise training alters the bodies ability to perform basic movement patterns (e.g. lunge, squat, stepping). The second area is how statin drugs affect skeletal muscle physiology and cardiovascular dynamics. A common side affect of taking statins is muscle pain and I am interested in how statin drugs alter blood hemodynamics and skeletal muscle biomarkers.
